Today, the stock market saw a decrease of 38,175 units in the total index, reaching 7,393,272 units. However, the value of transactions indicates high liquidity in the market.

The total index of the Tehran Stock Exchange stood at 7,393,272 units, down 38,175 units or 0.51%. This decline occurred while the equal-weight index also dropped by 8,473 units, reaching the range of 1,994,000 units. This situation indicates selling pressure that is not limited to just a few large symbols.

High Liquidity in the Market

The total value of stock transactions, rights issues, and equity funds reached 53,779 billion tomans, with about 89 billion shares exchanged in the market. Such trading volume on a day when the indices are in negative territory indicates that market liquidity remains at a high level.

At the beginning of the day, the total index fell to the range of 7,357,000 units, but part of this decline was later recovered. By the end, 449 symbols were in the negative range and 411 symbols were in the positive range. However, an outflow of 810 billion tomans from stocks and equity funds was recorded, and the average sale at 129 million tomans was significantly higher than the average purchase of 92 million tomans.

General Market Situation

Despite this, the number of buy orders was still greater than sell orders, with 266 buy orders against 243 sell orders. The value of buy orders reached 10,807 billion tomans, while sell orders were valued at 3,752 billion tomans.

This situation indicates a dual message from the market today; while the indices have decreased, liquidity and trading volume remain high. This contradiction could be a sign of the future direction of the stock market.

Overall, the capital market faced increased supply and falling prices in the early minutes of today's trading. Given that the simultaneous decline of the total and equal-weight indices indicates selling pressure across a larger number of symbols, it remains to be seen whether this decline is a short-term correction or a sign of a change in trading trends.
