Michael Dell has become the third richest person in the world with a 350% increase in the value of his company's stock. While Nvidia is growing as a leading company in artificial intelligence, Dell has benefited from high sales of AI servers.

Michael Dell, the founder of Dell, has recently become the third richest person in the world with a net worth of $276.5 billion. This change in the wealth ranking has occurred due to a remarkable 350% increase in the value of Dell's stock from 2026 to now. Meanwhile, Dell, with a 40% ownership of the company, is in a better position compared to Nvidia's founder, Jensen Huang, who holds only 3% of the company's shares.

Nvidia and Dell's Financial Performance

Nvidia, as one of the leading companies in the production of AI-related chips, achieved a revenue of $96.2 billion in its latest financial quarter and retained 75 cents of every dollar as profit. In contrast, Dell reported a revenue of $47 billion during the same period, converting only 21 cents of each dollar into profit. However, Dell's sales of AI servers have doubled, indicating an increase in demand for AI-related products.

Reasons for Michael Dell's Wealth Increase

Michael Dell's wealth increase is attributed to his decision to privatize Dell in 2013, which allowed him greater control over his shares. This move helped him to hold more shares of his company. In fact, after privatization, public shareholders of Dell received $13.88 per share and exited the company. These changes enabled Michael Dell to become a major billionaire and gain a better position compared to his competitors in the tech industry.

However, this increase in Michael Dell's wealth is significant compared to Jensen Huang's wealth, the founder of Nvidia, who has a net worth of $189.1 billion. Despite earning high revenues from Nvidia, Huang is ranked lower due to his lower percentage of stock ownership. As a result, investors are seeking new opportunities in the market and may shift their attention to other companies operating alongside Nvidia.
